Assistance with A1 Certificate issuance
Studio A&P, through an initial document check, provides an assessment of the social security contribution compliance of the company/self-employed worker. Subsequently, it carries out checks based on the most appropriate article of Regulation 883/2004/EC in order to ensure rapid approval by the national social security institution.
The whole procedure is managed remotely.
Operational steps:
-
Preliminary assessment of the type and duration of the activity abroad to determine the most appropriate A1 Certificate to be issued (Article 12 single assignment or Article 13 multistate).
-
Activation of the digital checklist on the A&P portal for uploading and tracking documents required to obtain the A1 Certificate.
-
Compliance analysis by A&P consultants.
-
Further assistance via call and direct contact with A&P consultants.
-
As soon as the document compliance analysis has been completed, Studio A&P consultants obtain the authorisation to act on the client’s behalf and request the A1 Certificate.
How to obtain the A1 Certificate
Following the publication of Regulation 883/2004/EC, employees and self-employed workers who work abroad must hold the A1 Certificate.
In order to obtain the document, the applicant must be up-to-date with the payment of social security contributions.
Why obtain the A1 Certificate
For those who work abroad (service provision or business meetings), the A1 Certificate is a fundamental document to prove social security coverage in the Country of residence.
Furthermore, in the event of an inspection, holding the A1 Certificate is an additional confirmation of the employment relationship between the employee and the company.
Failure to possess the document, on the other hand, may lead to the obligation to pay social security contributions in the foreign country as well.
