From March 18, 2022, the United Kingdom has lifted the majority of its travel restrictions, thus making both entry and stay conditions in the Country easier. However, each region of the United Kingdom may apply specific measures. Moreover, the Government still recommends caution and social responsibility, following the appropriate health protocols when traveling.

1. UK entry and transit requirements
Starting from March 18, 2022, the Government of the United Kingdom has removed most of its travel restrictions at the nationwide level. As a result, there is no Covid-19 mandatory requirement for travelers coming to the United Kingdom. Therefore, entry is allowed to both vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers from all Countries. Transit is free from any restrictions.
Nevertheless, specific entry and transit rules apply to travelers coming from China.
Moreover, each region of the United Kingdom may introduce specific measures with short to no notice. Indeed, entry to or transit through the United Kingdom may be forbidden to travelers coming from Countries belonging to the red list. This list may be updated at very short notice.
2. Vaccination or Covid-19 Test certificate in the UK
From March 18, 2022, travelers no longer need to submit any covid-19 or vaccination certificate, regardless of their vaccination status. Moreover, they do not need to take a test or to undergo quarantine once arrived in the United Kingdom.
However, specific rules apply to travelers coming from China. Indeed, they must submit a certificate of negative test result, in compliance with some guidelines and time frames.
Moreover, each region of the United Kingdom may apply specific measures. Indeed, the Government may require travelers coming from Countries belonging to the red list to comply with specific testing and quarantine measures to enter the United Kingdom. This list may be updated at very short notice.
3. Fulfillments
Since March 18, 2022, travelers are exempt from any formalities prior to entry. As a consequence, they must no longer submit any passenger locator form to enter the United Kingdom.
4. Lockdown in the United Kingdom
Since January 27, 2022, it is no longer needed to submit a vaccination or test certificate to have access to working and public places.
However, the Government still recommends caution and social responsibility while being in public places.
5. Face masks and social distancing
Since January 27, 2022, the use of face masks is no longer compulsory. However, the Government still recommends its use in indoor public places, on public transport and in case of gatherings, even outdoor. Moreover, it suggests keeping a safe distance of at least 1 meter from others.
