From 12.01.2022 the application for the preregistration will be available online
The Decree of 21 December 2021 concerning the regulation of extra-EU citizens coming to Italy for work has been registered to the Court of Auditors and will be published on the Official Gazzette on 17 January 2022. The Decree sets the limit of 69.700 incoming workers. This share includes 42.000 permits for seasonal workers and 27.700 for non-seasonal workers. The latter includes the conversione of 7.000 permits, according to the allocation by the General Immigration and Integration Authority, a body of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. The shares might be allocated differently if they will not be used until 90 days from the Decree publication.
The preregistration is available from 09:00 am of Wednesday, 12 January and filed online from 09.00 am of 27 January 2022, except the categories indicated in art. 3, comma 1, lett. b) of Decree 21.12.2021 that can be filed starting from the 15th day after the Decree publication. The application shall be filed with the corresponding forms, for example:
- VA Form for the conversion of study or traineeship permits into subordinate work permits;
- Z Form for the conversion of study or traineeship permits into autonomous work permits;
- B2020 Form for the nulla osta application for workers in transportation, constructions and tourism-hospitality.
The online application can be accessed through the SPID credentials. Requests will be assessed individually according to the order of arrival. Request may be filed within 17 March 2022.
