What should I consider before moving to Italy?
Before planning your move to Italy, please keep in mind that citizens need to fulfill immigration, social security and taxation requirements. A&P can help you identify your specific fullfillments:
- Immigration requirements for non-EU citizens;
- Driving in Italy and car registration;
- Access to National Healthcare System;
- Townhall registration and its tax implications;
- Support with the Italian ID Card;
- Support with the school search.
If you are an Italian citizen moving from abroad you will need:
- Registration with the registry office and removal from the AIRE (Registry of Italians Resident Abroad);
- Once residency has been established, obtaining a primary care physician;
- Immigration support for spouses and family members from outside the EU;
- Car registration as a repatriated citizen.
