It is intended for foreigners who will carry out self-employment activities using technological tools that enable remote work.
Remote Worker Visa
It is designated for foreigners who will perform subordinate work or collaboration activities.
In addition, in both cases, you will have to demonstrate:
- A minimum annual income not less than three times the minimum level
- A health insurance valid in Italy and a suitable accommodation
- Prior experience of at least six months in the sector
- Employment or collaboration contract or binding offer for the performance of highly qualified work
- Declaration of absence of criminal convictions signed by the employer or client
Timeline for visa issuance
The timeline for visa issuance depend on the work category (self-employment or subordinate employment) and they are defined by the Italian immigration law and by the standard processes applied by the relevant authorities.
- Step 1: DOCUMENTS COLLECTION AND CHECK (10-15 days)
- Step 2: ITALY DIGITAL NOMAD VISA OBTAINMENT (ca. 15 days or in any case up to 90 days for remote workers and 120 days for digital nomads)
- Step 3: RESIDENCE PERMIT APPLICATION (8 days)
In conclusion, the residence permit is issued for one year, renewable.
