Like many other European Countries, the Netherlands has lifted most travel restrictions for those entering the Country. In fact, due to the improvement of the epidemiological situation the Government of the Netherlands finds it is now possible to ease some restrictions.
In general, the Government still recommends caution and to be updated with covid-19 vaccine.

1. Netherlands Entry requirements for EU/Schengen Countries
According to the Government’s decision, as of September 17th 2022 no covid-19 entry requirements apply to travellers entering the Netherlands from an EU/Schengen Country. However, new restrictions may be implemented if the epidemiological situation changes.
2. Entry requirements for Extra EU/Schengen Countries
Until September 16th 2022 travellers from Extra EU Countries were subjected to an entry ban, however as of September 17th 2022 the Government of the Netherlands decided to lift up this ban, since it’s no longer proportional given the epidemiological situation of the Country. However, new restrictions may be implemented if the epidemiological situation changes.
3. Covid certificate in the Netherlands
On September 17th 2022 the Government of the Netherlands has decided that a covid certificate (i.e. a negative test result, a proof of vaccination or a proof of recovery) is no longer required to enter the Country. Nevertheless, since the number of infections may increase in autumn and winter, the Government recommends caution and to be updated with covid-19 vaccine.
4. Entry registration form
According to the lifting of most entry requirements in the Netherlands on September 17th 2022, no traveller has to fill out an entry registration form before arrival in the Country. 5. Face mask rules in the Netherlands
Like many other covid restrictions, the obligation of wearing a protective mask has also been removed in the Netherlands. Despite that, the Government invites people in fragile health wearing a face mask to protect themselves. In addition, under particular circumstances a face mask may be required in some indoor places.
