To qualify for the Italian elective residence visa, the applicant must possess:

Ample, stable and passive income

Proof of an accommodation in Italy (i.e. signed rental contract, deed of ownership, etc.)

Health insurance valid in Italy to cover all medical expenses

Civil status documents, translated and legalized, in case of family members
