Who can apply for an Artist Visa for subordinate work

Foreign artists with an employment contract may enter outside the quotas if they fall into the following categories:
- Workers employed by circuses or travelling shows
- Artists and technical staff for opera, theater, concert, or ballet performances
- Dancers, artists, and musicians to be employed in entertainment venues
- Artists to be employed by musical, theatre or cinematographic organizations, radio or television companies or public bodies in the contest of cultural or folkloric events.
Who can apply for an Artist Visa for self-employment

Foreign artists who intend to work as self-employees for more than 90 days are subject to the entry quotas set by the Flows Decree. For the three-year period 2023-2025, entry is reserved for the following categories:
- Foreign artists of clear renown or notable professional qualification
- Artists or groups hired by well-known theatre companies, RAI or by private television stations or by public entities of particular importance.
