Who must cancel the residency

This may occur for several reasons. For instance, if you move from a city to another one within the Italian territory, you must update the residency registration. Similarly, if you permanently move out of Italy, you must de-register from the local municipality registers.
How to complete the de-registration
De-registration procedure
Once assessed that you must cancel from the registry of residents, our consultants will assist you in the procedure. The cancellation is usually sent electronically, and a copy of your documents must be attached to it.
Furthermore, for Italian citizens, the de-registration procedure entails also the enrolment into the AIRE register – register of Italians living abroad

F.A.Q. about the service
Does the residency cancellation correspond to AIRE registration for Italians?
The AIRE registration procedure must be completed separately. Cancelling from the Italian registers of residents does not automatically correspond to the AIRE registration.
