The Atlasposting software allows users to assess geopolitical risks, health risks, and personal freedom limitations in the destination country of the business trip.
The platform provides a risk analysis on two fronts:
- Destination country
- Specific area of the trip
Risk Analysis – Country
Index of Freedom
The index evaluates the state of human freedom, measuring the level of freedom of the average citizen, from a personal and economic point of view. It considers factors such as freedom of thought, religion, and the press, as well as the penal system and civil justice. Economic freedom accounts for inflation rates, business regulations, and openness to foreign markets, determining an individual’s ability to achieve self-fulfillment and invest or, conversely, the degree of dependence on state monetary policies.
Each country is scored on a numerical scale from 1 to 10.
If the freedom index of the destination country falls below 6.82 (the global average for 2022), the software will generate an alert to notify the client and suggest consulting the “Rules, Customs, and Practices Report.”
The company can choose a custom threshold value for notifications.
Mandatory and Recommended Vaccinations
In accordance with the International Health Regulations, if applicable, the software displays a list of mandatory vaccinations required for entry into the destination country, based on Italian and foreign governmental recommendations.
Additionally, it provides a list of recommended vaccinations due to the health situation in the country, along with a reference to the country making the recommendation.
Risk Analysis – Area of the Trip
Risk Map and Risk Algorithm
After selecting the specific location of the trip, users can view an initial risk assessment of the destination country through risk maps compiled by six governmental sources: France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, and the Netherlands.
Countries are divided into four risk levels:
- No risk
- Moderate risk
- Advanced risk
- Maximum risk
Based on the information from individual maps, an algorithm defined by the internal policy of the firm classifies the entire national territory into the four risk levels, providing a unified result.
Temperature and Pollution
When entering trip details, users can view the real-time temperature and pollution levels in the destination city.
Nature of the Risk
The “Nature of the Risk” feature allows users to understand why travel to a specific area is not recommended.
Possible categories include:
- Healthcare
- Safety
- General travel advisories
- Natural disasters
- Terrorism
- Local customs and practices
For each category, the country issuing alerts for a specific area is identified.
Natural Disaster API
The natural disaster map, linked to EU APIs, displays real-time updates on ongoing disasters worldwide.
