Consultation on Posting of workers to EU, EEA and Switzerland​

The Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic announced an increase of the minimum wage in Slovakia from €816 to €915 per month.

The Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family published the annual minimum wage increase starting from January 2026.

Notice No. 245/2025 Coll. provides data on both the minimum monthly, and hourly wage. Specifically, in 2026 employees in an employment relationship will receive:

  • €915 per month for employees receiving a monthly salary,
  • €5,259 for hourly employees.

Minimum wage entitelments

In addition to the increase of the minimum wage, Section 120 (4) of the Labour Code, the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic Notice No. 244/2025 Coll. determines the wage entitelments for both monthly and hourly workers.

Workers will receive a proportionally higher wage based on their qualifications:

  • Monthly workers:

The amounts set by the Government are based on a 40 hours working time per week. In case of lower working hours per week, the entitlement will increase proportionally.
