Apostille in Saudi Arabia now available after the Country signed the Hague Convention.
On the 7th of December 2022, HCCH announced that the Apostille system had entered into force in Saudi Arabia, after the country had signed the Hague Convention for the Abolition of the Legalization of Foreign Public Documents on the 8th of April 2022.
This means that it is now possible to legalize documents for use in Saudi Arabia without needing the step of the consular legalization.
Now, the process is much faster, because in order to have the document legalized it is enough to obtain the Apostille stamp from the competent local authorities of the country in which the document was issued.
