The H-1B status is valid up to 3 years and extendable up to another 3 years, for a total period of admission of 6 years.
Can I change employer under a H-1B visa?
Yes. Under H-1B portability provisions, you may begin working for a new employer as soon as they properly file a non-frivolous H-1B petition on your behalf, or as of the requested start date on the petition.
