The Conference on Transnational Mobility, organized by the Marco Biagi Foundation in collaboration with Studio Arletti & Partners, Federmacchine, and Anima Confindustria, was a great success.

Yesterday, March 5, from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., a conference on the transnational mobility of workers was held, organized by the Marco Biagi Foundation of Modena and Studio Arletti & Partners, in collaboration with Federmacchine and Anima Confindustria.

The speakers at the conference

The event was attended by speakers from national and international authorities, who contributed to the discussion on the most current issues in global mobility.

The meeting opened with greetings from representatives of the organizing bodies:

  • Iacopo Senatori, Professor of Labor Law at UNIMORE and the Marco Biagi Foundation
  • Bruno Bettelli, Federmacchine President
  • Alberto Caprari, former President of Anima Confindustria

After the institutional greetings, the morning session featured presentations by:

  • Federico Pancaldi – Head of Cooperation Unit at ELA
  • Francesco Losappio – Policy Officer European Commission
  • Paola Astorri – Confindustria, Work, Welfare, and Human Capital Area

This was followed by speeches from representatives of the national supervisory authorities of Slovenia, Ireland, Germany, and the United Kingdom:

  • Anita Starc  – Representative of the Ministry of Labor, Family, Social Policies, and Equal Opportunities
  • Enda Murphy – Workplace Relations Commission WRC 
  • Marvin Griep – Enforcement Expert, German Desk, ELA Cooperation Support Unit, formerly the Inspection and Investigation Division of the FSK (Financial Control of Undeclared Work Unit)
  • Andrew Coop – Head of Commerce in Services, Investments, and Mobility at UK Department for Business and Trade

The afternoon session of the conference focused on the mobility of foreign companies in Italy, with the participation of:

  • Alessandro Arletti – Studio Arletti & Partners’ Founder
  • Lieutenant Colonel t.SPEF Francesco Mazza – Commander of the Economic and Financial Police Unit of Modena
  • Davide Venturi – ITL Director in Modena and Interim Director of ITL in Treviso-Belluno
  • Francesca Pelaia –Head of Division V – Labor Relations and Equal Opportunities, Ministry of Labor
  • Bianca Maria Baron – Director of the National Joint Commission for Construction Workers’ Funds

The conference was particularly successful, thanks to the high institutional level of the speakers and the relevance of the presentations, in a dynamic and complex context such as that of transnational mobility.
