The Lithuanian Government has approved higher minimum wage rates applicable from 2027.
The increase was established by Resolution No. 509, adopted on 1 July 2026 and published in the Lithuanian Official Gazette. Specifically, the minimum hourly wage will increase from the current rate of €7.05 up to €7.61. The monthly minimum salary will also rise from €1,153 to €1,245.
This Resolution entered into force on 2 July 2026. On that occasion, the Government also recommended that social partners agree on higher remuneration levels through collective agreements, where appropriate.
In conclusion, employers and companies posting workers to Lithuania should take the updated minimum wage into account when reviewing payroll calculations and employment costs for 2027.
