The A&P assistance process
Tell us about your background through our preliminary questionnaire. We can assess your profile and provide a tailored quotation for the agreed work. The first stage focuses on understanding your qualification and checking the requirements and procedures relevant to your case.
The A&P assistance process
- Complete the questionnaire with details of your education and professional experience.
- We review the awarding institution, country, qualification, citizenship and professional status, and discuss any points requiring clarification.
- We define the scope, fees and terms of the preliminary assessment and check the applicable route with the competent office where needed.
- You receive guidance on the documents and further checks needed for your profile. If an application procedure is available and applicable, we can agree a further engagement to help prepare and submit it.
- Any subsequent support with the authority and requests for additional information is provided within the agreed engagement.
What we assess
This service is for people who trained in osteopathy outside Italy and intend to relocate, work for a healthcare provider or start a professional practice in Italy. We can assess qualifications awarded in the EU, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, as well as qualifications from non EU countries.
We examine the qualification, awarding institution, training duration and content, practical placements, entitlement to practise in the country of origin and documented experience. Citizenship alone does not determine the route. Requesting an assessment does not establish eligibility for recognition.
What we need for the initial assessment
Provide the country and year of award, exact qualification title, institution, course duration, hours or credits, practical training, any professional registration or authorisation, and details of work already undertaken.
Documents useful for the assessment may include your diploma, transcript, syllabus, placement records, evidence of professional authorisation or registration, good standing and experience. This is an indicative list for our review, not an official application checklist. Translation, apostille and legalisation requirements will be checked against the applicable instructions.
The competent authority and timing
FNO TSRM e PSTRP guidance directs holders of qualifying foreign osteopathy credentials to the Italian Ministry of Health, separately from the special lists for Italian legacy qualifications. The filing office, submission channel, documents and subsequent requirements must be checked for the individual case.
The quotation will set out the timing of our preliminary work. Administrative processing times can only be assessed once the applicable procedure has been confirmed. We do not promise a recognition deadline or a particular outcome.
Why choose A&P
Our assessment brings together your educational and professional background and the legal framework relevant to your plans in Italy. You receive guidance on the checks needed before taking further steps. The authority remains responsible for recognition; our assessment does not grant permission to practise.
Request a preliminary assessment
Complete the preliminary questionnaire so we can assess your profile and check the route that may apply to you.
