General requirements for a startup

The visa is issued to foreign entrepreneurs who wish to open an innovative startup, i.e. a technological innovation business.
The business must:
- Have its headquarters in Italy and an expected turnover not exceeding a certain threshold
- Not participate in profits or be formed by merger or branch of another company
- Invest in research and development, or employ PhD students or qualified personnel, or be the owner, custodian or licensee of a patent or software
