The United States announced the removal of prohibition to entry for those coming from Schengen Area Countries, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Brazil.
With the Presidential Proclamation of January 18, 2021, President Trump announced the removal of the prohibition to enter the United States for travellers who, within the 14 previous days, stayed in or transited through one of the following Countries: Schengen Area Countries, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Brazil. The Proclamation therefore replace the restrictive measures of the previous Proclamations, with effect from 12:01 EST of January 26, 2021.
On the other hand, the prohibition to enter the Country is still in place for those who, within the 14 previous days, stayed in or transited through the following Countries: People’s Republic of China, Islamic Republic of Iran.
New fulfillments to enter the United States of America
With the ordinance of January 12, 2021, the American Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has further declared that, starting from January 26, 2021, in order to board for the United States, all travellers coming from worldwide shall provide:
- Medical certificate confirming a negative result to the Covid-19 test (viral test). Such test has to be taken no more than 3 days prior the departure. Or, in alternative,
- Medical certificate confirming the healing from Covid-19, following a positive result to a Covid-19 test (viral test). Such certificate shall be released by the Health Authorities of the Country of origin and shall confirm the eligibility or the passenger to travel.
The whole documentation must be kept by the traveller and provided in case of further checks from government official or other authorities in charge.
