As a consequence to the improvement of the pandemic situation, several Countries in the world, including the United Arab Emirates, have relaxed their covid-19 restrictions.

From November the 7th, 2022, the United Arab Emirates Government has lifted the majority of its travel restrictions, thus making both the entry and stay in the Country easier. However, the Government still recommends caution and social responsibility, following the appropriate health protocols when traveling. Moreover, each Emirate may autonomously introduce measures restricting the entry or stay in the Country.

1. United Arab Emirates entry and transit requirements

Starting from the 7th of November 2022, the Government of the United Arab Emirates has removed most of its travel restrictions at the nationwide level. As a result, no Covid-19 mandatory requirement is imposed on travelers coming to the United Arab Emirates. Therefore, entry is allowed to both vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers from all Countries and transit is free from any restrictions.

However, each Emirate has the freedom to autonomously introduce entry restrictions and passengers must still comply with the requirements of their final destination when transiting through the United Arab Emirates.

2. Vaccination or Covid-19 Test certificate

From the 7th of November 2022, travelers no longer need to submit any covid-19 or vaccination certificate, regardless of their vaccination status. Moreover, they do not need to get a test or to undergo quarantine once arrived in the United Arab Emirates.

However, each Emirate has the freedom to autonomously introduce testing or quarantine requirements upon arrival.

3. Fulfillments

Since the 7th of November 2022, travelers are exempt from any formalities prior to entry into the United Arab Emirates. As a consequence, they must no longer submit any form nor to download any app to enter the UAE.

However, each Emirate has the freedom to autonomously require form or personal information to travelers.

4. Lockdown

Since the 7th of November 2022, the United Arab Emirates Government has removed most of its lockdown restrictions. As a consequence, there is no need to submit a vaccination or test certificate to have access to working and public places.

However, the Government still recommends caution and social responsibility while being in public places. Moreover, each Emirate has the freedom to autonomously introduce restrictions to public life.

5. Face masks and social distancing

The use of face mask is still mandatory in all healthcare facilities, while it is recommended in worship places and in all open and closed facilities. Moreover, the United Arab Emirates Government suggests keeping a safe distance of at least 2 meters from others.
