From September 5 2022, all travel restrictions in Guatemala have been removed since the Covid-19 pandemic situation has stabilized across the country.

1. Entry requirements in Guatemala
No entry restrictions are currently in force to travel to Guatemala. People entering Guatemala do not need to complete any entry statement form.
2. Negative test result and health insurance to enter Guatemala
From March 5 2022, people entering Guatemala do not need to provide evidence of their vaccination status, neither a proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
However, travelers coming from China, Hong Kong and Macau must show a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 2 days before their flight departs.
Furthermore, it is highly recommended to submit an international health insurance covering also COVID-19 infection.
3. Quarantine and Isolation procedures
No quarantine period for foreign travelers entering the country is currently set up. Furthermore, all restrictions due to Covid-19 pandemic have been removed.
A categorization system is currently set up in the Country. Every two weeks, a list of all cities is published following a classification based on four colors (red, orange, yellow and green). According to the color, restrictions will be more or less stringent.
4. National movements restrictions
Public transport is operational and there are no specific restrictions in place for intercity and interstate travel. On public transport, mask wearing is currently mandatory. Furthermore, it is recommended to keep a social distancing of at least 1,5 meters.
5. Vaccination and masks
Vaccination in Guatemala is also activated for foreigners who plan to receive the vaccine during their travel. Currently, the vaccines authorized in Guatemala are:

- Pfizer
- Moderna
- Gamaleya
- Clover
In Guatemala mask wearing is mandatory for all people aged 2 years or older in hospitals, healthcare facilities, vaccination centers, medical, labs, aged-care facilities, prisons and on public transport.
