NEOS suspends the direct flights from Italy to China
From January 26, 2021 and until further notice, flights from Italy to China (Beijing) will board exclusively citizens of the carrier’s Country of departure and Chinese residents of the carrier’s Country of departure. To persons of third nationality, the Chinese Embassies do not issue the health code (QR code) necessary for boarding and for entry into China.
Flights from Italy to China: the current situation
However, on 08/04/2021, the NEOS airline announced the suspension of the direct air route between Italy and China (Milan-Nanjing). Until this route is re-established, it will be possible to board air carriers directed towards China with a layover in a third Country. Passengers must therefore obtain the QR health code with the “HDC” logo from both the Chinese Authorities in Italy and from those in the transit Country.
Quarantine Requirements
We remind you that travelers who do not enjoy direct air connections between their Country and the capital, to reach Beijing must make a stop in another Chinese city and carry out the quarantine period in the latter, which varies from 14 to 21 days.
