Following the publication from the State Council of People’s Republic of China and National Health Committee on 26/12/2022, starting from January 8, 2023, all the passengers departing from Italy (and generally, from any other Third Country) should:
- Undertake n° 1 RT-PCR within 48 hours before the flight departure for China in a Government certified laboratory.
The test report should contain, in addition to the negative result, the following information:
- Name of the laboratory where the passenger was tested,
- Address and contact information of the laboratory,
- Time of sample collection,
- Full name of the passenger,
- Passport number,
- Birth date.
The airline’s operators will check the data contained on the test report, which shall be available during the check-in operations.
1.1 No more additional requirements for passengers who were positive to Covid-19
Simultaneously, passengers who contracted Covid-19 in the past do not have to undertake additional testing anymore. As a result, passengers falling under this category can now follow the same pre-departure procedure as those who do not.
1.2 HDC Code Request
Following the new update, passengers will not have to request the HDC Green Code from the relevant Chinese Authorities before departure.
1.3 China Custom Code Request
If the swab test has a negative result, all the passengers will have to fill the China Custom Health Declaration Form (website link: https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn).
It will be checked upon arrival by the competent authorities, which will authorise the free movement of the passenger entering if no health anomaly is detected.
2. Quarantine in China upon arrival
Once landed in China, all the passengers who do not show any Covid-19 related symptom, are free to move around China.
The use of the face mask and social distancing of at least 1 meter’s measures are still strongly recommended.
2.1 Internal mobility in China
After the latest update, citizens who enter train stations and airports do not need to undertake a Covid-19 swab test 48 hours before their departure anymore. In addition, Health Codes will not be checked upon entering said places.
