1. Entry requirements in Bangladesh
Entering Bangladesh by air is allowed in accordance with health protocols implemented by the Government. Entry requirements vary according to the vaccination status of travelers.
However, it is no more necessary to complete the Passenger Health Declaration Form (HDF) before arriving in Bangladesh.
2. Negative test result to enter Bangladesh
For all unvaccinated passengers or who have not completed the vaccination cycle, it is compulsory to present a negative RT PCR test result carried out within 72 hours before departure. Vaccinated passengers are exempt from the RT PCR test requirement: for them, it is sufficient to present covid-19 certification of the vaccination cycle with one of the WHO-approved vaccines.
3. Quarantine and Isolation procedures
If symptoms of COVID-19 are detected after entry to Bangladesh, travelers, regardless their vaccination status, are subjected to an RT PCR or antigen test by the Health Authority. If the test result is positive, travelers shall isolate themselves at the premises designated by the government at their own expense.
4. National movements restrictions
Public transport is operational and there are no specific restrictions in place for intercity and interstate travel. On public transportation, mask wearing is mandatory.
In general, commercial activities, including shops, offices and banking services, largely resumed operations with minimal restrictions.
